dunkin’ on diet
i have always been a fan of dunkin’ donuts. as a matter of truth, it’s the very reason why i bloated when i was a freshman in college; and, the imaginary marker that had drawn the line across my upper abdomen. the brighter side of it - i had good grades. i usually order chocobutternut, boston kreme (or however they spell it), bavarian, black raspberry… two of them along with a medium orange punch.
i still eat at dunkin’s. however, i notice they downgrade the size and weight. when you bite into it… like… whooooh i knew of assholes and airheads, but donuts with holes with even more air in it… it’s not saliva-worthy.
then again, it has it perks. less sugar-less fat-less calorie. oh lala! less taste and everything else. i do not really care of the less² benefits. i like my donut like how new york cops like it - plump and kinda squishy. i think the dignity of the donut is lost. i don’t care if it cost more. i want a donut like how a donut should be.
another thing, i observed that in my favorite dunkin outlet, they do not have a regular size drink. they start with a medium. like hello… is medium the new regular? are they trying to cost cut? i think they are. but see, i don’t know if it’s a trend. such things i know that start with medium- not small or regular-are tunic shirts. i couldn’t figure out why. perhaps the length? what difference does it make if they start with a small? like make the medium small? hmmn i’m beginning to get confused. anyway, i love my punch and i even love it so much in medium. not the regular size medium, but the medium medium.
